The Ins and Outs of Equipment Servicing

Below is a brief overview of the servicing requirements for each product.

• Extinguishers need to be inspected at least once every six months provided they have not been used. If the extinguisher has lost pressure or been used in an emergency, the equipment will need immediate servicing.
• Reels need to be tested once every six months and inspected for any defects and wear.
• Blankets and other firefighting gear also needs to be inspected on a bi annual basis to ensure it’s still fully functional.
